OvidDx allows you to learn at your own pace and convenience. The program consists of 4 packages of several lessons each – Understanding Neural Circuit Disorders, Diagnosing Neural Circuit Disorders, Treating Neural Circuit Disorders and Neural Circuit Disorders for Physical Therapists. Each learning package is followed by a brief quiz for CME/CE credit offered to physicians only.
Once you have completed the training, you are ready to join the OvidDx community for a monthly 2-hour live virtual training workshop with Drs. Alicia Batson and Howard Schubiner, both specialists in diagnosing and treating neural circuit disorders. During these workshops, you will be able to network with other neural circuit practitioners, view doctor-patient demonstrations to improve communication and treatment skills, review the latest pain research and receive answers to commonly asked questions about diagnosing and treating these conditions.
After you complete the training and one year of community participation in the workshops, you may then opt-in to be listed as an OvidDx-certified Neural Circuit Retraining Health Professional. Neural Circuit Retraining (NCR) is a specific form of therapy based in the three treatment arms for chronic primary pain – psycho-eduction to understand the psychosocial factors and neurophysiologic mechanisms causing the symptoms, cognitive and behavioral techniques to reframe the meaning of the pain and emotional processing techniques to address past trauma which may be driving the pain. The OvidDx certification program was purpose-built to provide health professionals with the requisite tools to improve patient outcomes with confidence.

improve skills of health professionals. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 12-2pm CT.
Two credits are available for physicians, nurses, psychologists and social workers per live attendance at each 2-hour workshop (up to 24 credits). You may join the program at any time, but please note CME/CE credits are not offered for passive viewing of previously held workshops.
